A low-carbon and hydrogen economy.

John F. Kennedy’s vision that “by the end of the decade we will put a man on the moon” inspired NASA to deliver one of the 20th century’s greatest achievements.

However, this century’s greatest challenge, the transition from an oil economy to a low-carbon or “hydrogen economy” will be harder to achieve.

The transition to hydrogen as a fuel is going to require leadership from all governments, not just one or two; new inventions and innovation, massive investment by industry to upgrade the current infrastructure; and the commitment of the public to purchase and use hydrogen transportation and alternative fuels.

The Hydrogen economy can not be implemented by one company or industry alone, and the Green Riband creates an environment to form partnerships that demonstrate and validate technology of the hydrogen age that will progress to meaningful commercial projects.

The Green Riband will inspire and mark the progress to the hydrogen age.
